Arch Tech Design provided design for a lyophilizer and mezzanine expansion project within an operating plant in Baltimore for Cangene bioPharma that presented several challenges for the project team, including enlarging existing loading dock openings and corridors to enable receipt and installation of the new lyophilizer; and a phased construction approach to enable the project to be built without impacting operations, including taking advantage of several planned maintenance shutdowns. The scope included three Class 100 clean lyophilizer loading suites along a Class 100 clean corridor, Class 10,000 filling and capping suites, relocation and consolidation of an existing quality control laboratory with another existing lab, and a new packaging area located near the shipping area.
